Well, weve been looking into it for a while, and have decided to see if there is any interest in the Palomar Community for an independent study high school program…This would entail 1-2 days a week of instruction, with most assignments done at home.

Wow! The community response to our recycling center has been amazing! Thank you to everyone who has been donating their cans, plastic, and glass to help support our one-room schoolhouse!
Didn’t know about it?? Well, we are always collecting recyclables at 21111 State Park Rd (just across from Upper Meadow Rd).
We are also taking monetary donations, every contribution is a TAX DEDUCTION! For more information scroll down to the “Donations Needed” post!

We are now up to 7 students in our one-room schoolhouse up here n the mountain! Last year we had 5, two moved away, so we ended the year with 3. Adding 4 more students is a great thing!

For those that don’t know, Light and Life, Palomar Mountain…the one-room schoolhouse on Palomar Mountain, is quickly approaching it’s second year!
Since we are not state funded, we have to raise our own funds, to add to the funds provided by Light and Life, Escondido.
Right now we are about 50% funded for the upcoming year, and we would REALLY appreciate your charitable contribution!
Your tax-deductable contribution helps us to continue this “adventure in edcuation” for the children of Palomar Mountain, Pauma Valley and Valley Center.
Have a K-8th aged child living in Palomar, Pauma or VC? We are currently enrolling for our traditional, and modified home-school programs!
